So!
I've just gotten back from my first real experience driving today (driving in circles in a parking lot does not count). It went a lot better than I expected, though there were still a few awkward stops, mostly from my inexperience in turning (I do this weird "stiff-armed robot" turn, apparently). I'm good at driving in a straight line, though. So good, in fact, that my driving instructor decided I was good enough to put me on the highway. At first I freaked the fuck out (why are we turning here oh god wait is that the highway WHY AM I DRIVING TOWARDS THE HIGHWAY) and then he told me to shut up.
In all honesty, the only time I got even minutely close to a wreck was pulling out of a parking spot. How anti-climatic.
